Webinar: Automated detection of patterns and anomalies in time series data

Webinar: Automated detection of patterns and anomalies in time series data

In the framework of the Flanders AI impulse programme, the SUMO/IDLab research group at Ghent University - imec will organize a outreach event to the general public about our latest research activities on anomaly detection in time series data. This dissemination event will be in the form of a tutorial-style webinar. It aims to engage with Flemish actors to stimulate the adoption of artificial intelligence technology in Flanders.

Abstract

Anomaly detection for time-series data is a critical and challenging task that is relevant in many domains, including e.g. manufacturing processes, healthcare, financial transactions. This webinar will guide the audience through the rationale, mechanism and performance of time-series anomaly detection methods based on machine learning. Both shallow and deep learning-based approaches will be highlighted. This will be illustrated on a use-case in the electrical domain, where the detection of errors and faults is important to evaluate the robustness of electrical devices against noise and interference.

Location and time

The webinar meeting will be organized on November 17th 2020 from 14:00-15:00.
