Prof. Luc De Raedt (KU Leuven): Some tools for automating data science
Abstract
Inspired by recent successes towards automating highly complex jobs like programming and scientific experimentation, I want to automate the task of the data scientist when developing intelligent systems, which is to extract knowledge from data in the form of models. In this talk, I shall introduce some of the involved challenges of and some possible approaches and tools for automating data science.
More specifically, I shall show how declarative languages (such as inductive databases, probabilistic programming and constraint programming) can facilitate the learning and mining processes, and I shall also provide an example of an automated approach towards learning constraints in spreadsheet data (our recent Tacle system).
